Will intimate relationships between races of different planets ever occur in the future?

Factors promoting

-Assuming that two sufficiently intelligent species from different planets can communicate well enough to maintain an intimate relationship yes.

-Even if the act of biological sex is not possible (reproduction), if the couple really wanted a baby together they could adopt. Alternatively, if technology allowed it could be used to create and offspring combining the heriditary traits of the two individiuals in a suitable way to create a healthy, living baby (most likely creating a new living species in the process).
