Quran does not approve of terrorism in any way. Not a single verse in the holy Quran supports terrorism. Many people mention verses from the Holy Book and pesent it as an evidence of terror breeding but what they dont see is that the context in which the verse was mentioned is different than normal conditions or cicumstances. Many people have learned the famous verse:

              "Where ever you find a non muslim kill him............"

Few people would know that this chapter of the Holy Book speaks about the war instructions for the Muslims in the battle field. So this verse will not be under consideration in the normal scenerio. Similar misconceptions lead to an idea that Islam breeds and supports terrorism but it is very untrue and crazy idea.

Are Muslim warriors in Afghanistan and Iraq Terrorists?

Talibans from the Afghanistan and similar groups from Iraq are reffered to as terrorists. What we need to see and understand is that these groups are fighting the NATO or US or any other armies because their country is under attack. It will be a very idiotic idea that a country is attacked and its people will not form groups to defend themselves. The Talibans in Afghanistan are called terrorists, I wonder if US is attacked then similar groups there would be called terrorists groups or freedom fighters? The fact remains that all of these groups in all regions are actually Freedom Fighter Groups. If media of these western countries calls itself independant and thinks that its not under government influence then it should call these groups as freedom fighters instead of terrorists.
