[  ][Edit] ProAll governments exist entirely because its citizens give up and invest some of their natural rights into that government. A government becomes oppressive when either (a) the government infringes upon the rights of individuals, or (2) the rights invested into it are seized from the people and used against them. In other words, the more rights the government has that the citizens themselves do not, the more oppressive that government is. In the context of defending property, making it illegal to kill can only NOT be oppressive if, for example, the government itself does not shoot citizens who intrude upon restricted government properties. |
