[Edit] Should South Korea be allowed to become a world power? |
|
[Edit] Background and Context of Debate:South Korea is a long-time ally of many Western powers, chiefly the United States. It has one of the largest, lethal armies in the world (sixth largest in active service and second-largest in reserve troops, and 2872 mostly modern tanks, etc...), along with an impressive airforce (600+ very modern aircraft)and a moderate navy (170 commissioned ships with 27000 personnels). It is currently the 15th largest economies with its largest company Samsung being financially bigger than Argentina. It is proven that South Korea is a developed nation, but the question is: should it be allowed to take part in world affairs and be allowed as a world power? |
