• Cell phones can help people let others know dinner is running late. Obvious everyday reasons as to why having a cell phone with you in a restaurant are things such as if someone is running late they can text you letting you know etc.

• Cell phones in restaurants are important in emergencies. Other emergencies such as needing to rush to the hospital, waiting on important news etc.

• Silencing phones in restaurants is more reasonable than a ban. Most people turn them off anyway or exscue themselves if they get a call.

• Restaurants can create a business zone for phone calls. If it is a consistent problem a restaurant could have a business zone for people to eat in where they could make business calls.

• Banning cell phones will discourage restaurant patrons. Banning them altogether will only discourage people to come. This is an adult society - not a classroom!
